Founder

Nalan G.
I didn’t set out to create an end-of-life service.
For close to two decades, I worked as a senior legal counsel, providing board advisory, managing multi-million dollar contracts, resolving complex disputes, and designing governance processes for new markets across Asia.
My mother abruptly passed, and I found myself deep in paperwork before I’d had a chance to fully mourn. There were forms, appointments, legal documents, but no space to grieve. Even with a legal background, I struggled. I realised then: even the most capable can falter under the emotional weight of loss.
Over time, I began to see the gap and feel the weight of it. When a loved one dies, families are left to navigate a maze of responsibilities at their most emotionally vulnerable. There are forms to file, agencies to notify, assets to settle, and relatives to update, all while grief is still fresh, and memory still fragile.
So I stepped in. Quietly at first, helping where I could, guiding them through what had once blindsided me. I then pursued formal training in Gerontology to understand not just aging, but the human, emotional and societal dimensions of end-of-life realities.
And that’s how Chamberside was born: a space that holds both the practical and the sacred, helping families move forward with clarity, dignity, and peace of mind.
It’s not a legal service. It’s not counselling. It’s the calm in the middle. The quiet, competent presence that holds everything together when no one else quite can.
Some families come to me overwhelmed with paperwork. Others come because they simply don’t want their parent’s story to end with silence and transactions.
I walk with them through both.Every client I serve is different, but they all want the same thing: to do this right.
To honour, to complete, and to carry on without fear of having missed something important. That’s what Chamberside is for.
